The annual National Pilgrimage to Whithorn will take place on Sunday 30th August.
Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Frank Dougan on the beach near St Ninian’s Cave at 4 pm, and at the church in Whithorn at 4.45 pm for those unable to reach the shore.
A well-established footpath about one mile long takes you through the glen to the shore, and to be in place for Mass at 4 pm it is recommended to begin the walk by 3 pm.
